We dispense NHS and private prescriptions and provide advice on how to get the most from your medicines. Our pharmacies keep a comprehensive stock of medicines and combined with access to fast and efficient wholesaler services and to stock within our group of pharmacies, we are able to fill your prescription promptly

If you have a private prescription, please contact your local McParlands Pharmacy to obtain a quote. If you have obtained a quote from elsewhere, please let us know and we may be able to match it or, in some cases, offer you a lower price.

Our FREE prescription collection services are designed to save you time and meet your needs.

Standard Prescription Collection Service
Once you have ordered your prescription from us, we will request and collect your prescription from your surgery and have your medication ready for you to collect from the pharmacy when you need it. All you need to do is visit your local McParlands Pharmacy and collect your medicines. If you are unable to collect your medicines, we may be able to deliver them to you*

Managed Repeat Prescription Service
If you have regular repeat medicines from your doctor, we can manage your repeat requests on your behalf.
We will check when you will need your medicines and order your prescription from your surgery. We will collect your prescription and have your medicines ready to collect from your local McParlands Pharmacy when you need them.

All you need to do is visit your local McParlands Pharmacy and collect your medicines. If you are unable to collect your medicines, we may be able to deliver them to you*

This FREE NHS service gives you the opportunity to discuss any issues you have with your medicines with our pharmacist.

The review will take place in our private consultation area and will allow you to learn more about all of your medicines and discuss any difficulties you have with taking or using your medicines.

Have you just been prescribed a NEW medicine? With your consent, our pharmacist will check how you are getting on with your new medicine over the first month and offer advice and support to help you get the best from your new tratment. This can happen by phone or in person in the pharmacy.

Stop Smoking Service
If you are looking for help to stop smoking, our pharmacists and assistants can help! We will provide you with advice and support and can also supply the most appropriate forms of Nicotine Replacement Treatments (NRT) to help you quit successfully. Your local McParlands Pharmacy may also offer NHS Stop Smoking services – please contact the pharmacy for more details.

Blood Pressure Checks
High blood pressure affects 1 in 3 adults and usually shows no symptoms. If left untreated it can lead to heart problems and strokes. Fortunately, in mild cases, blood pressure can be lowered by making simple healthy lifestyle changes and our pharmacist can help by checking your blood pressure, providing healthy lifestyle advice and, where necessary, refer you to your doctor. We will now be providing flu vaccination from October 2012 without the need to see your Doctor.
